9th International Symposium on Flow Visualisation, 2000 Adaptation of Standard Optic Flow Methods to Fluid Motion

چکیده
In this paper, we address the problem of fluid motion estimation in image sequences. For such motions, standard dense motion estimation methods, based on intensity conservation and spatial coherence of motion field, are not suitable. This is due to the highly deformable nature of fluid medium. For all applications where fluid motions are to be recovered from images, it is then important to have specific techniques. We investigate such dedicated models which include an original observation constraint, based on the continuity equation from fluid mechanics, and a new div-curl-type smoothness term. Our method is validated on synthetic and real meteorological images.

9th International Symposium on Flow Visualisation, 2000 Synchronous Orthogonal Dynamic Programming for Particle Image Velocimetry
This paper presents an improvement of the Orthogonal Dynamic Programming optical flow technique that permits a better use of all the available information during the iterative search of the vector field in the case of stereo PIV. The two-component apparent vector fields are computed simultaneously (synchronously) for all available viewpoints. Coherency constraints issued from the geometry of th...
متن کاملPULSATILE MOTION OF BLOOD IN A CIRCULAR TUBE OF VARYING CROSS-SECTION WITH SLIP FLOW
Pulsatile motion of blood in a circular tube of varying cross-section has been developed by considering slip flow at the tube wall and the blood to be a non- Newtonian biviscous incompressible fluid. The tube wall is supposed to be permeable and the fluid exchange across the wall is accounted for by prescribing the normal velocity of the fluid at the tube wall. The tangential velocity of the fl...
متن کامل9th International Symposium on Flow Visualisation, 2000 Thorough Insights by Enhanced Visualization of Flow Topology
The investigation of flow data can be eased by the visualization of topological information about the flow. Especially, when empirical models or numerical results from flow simulation are investigated, often the first step of analysis is to search structural elements, like fixed points, separatrices, etc. The work presented in this paper focuses on the visualization of 3D dynamical systems (com...
متن کاملEffects of non-newtonian properties of blood flow on magnetic nanoparticle targeted drug delivery
Objective(s): One applications of nanotechnology is in the area of medicine which is called nanomedicine. Primary instruments in nanomedicine can help us to detect diseases and used for drug delivery to inaccessible areas of human tissues. An important issue in simulating the motion of nanoparticles is modeling blood flow as a Newtonian or non-Newtonian fluid. Sometimes blood flow is simulated ...
متن کاملUnsteady MHD nonlinear radiative squeezing slip-flow of Casson fluid between parallel disks
Effect of nonlinear thermal radiation on the unsteady magnetohydrodynamic slip flow of Casson fluid between parallel disks in the presence of thermophoresis and Brownian motion effects are investigated numerically. A similarity transformation is employed to reduce the governing partial differential equations into ordinary differential equations. Further, Runge-Kutta and Newton’s methods are ado...
